MLOps Consulting Companies: Compare Services and Fit

Compare MLOps consulting companies by the responsibility you need them to take: choosing a platform, building deployment pipelines, running production operations, or adding engineers to your team. HSO, MLOps Consulting and Pento publish different service scopes. Powercode Group is relevant when you need engineering capacity within an agreed scope.

Start with your existing cloud, model workloads, release process and operating owner. Then ask each supplier to respond to the same brief. This comparison is published by Powercode Group and uses the providers’ public service pages; it does not score independently tested delivery results.

MLOps companies to put on your shortlist

Company Published service focus When to investigate Ask before appointing
HSO Azure Machine Learning platform design, pipeline automation, deployment, monitoring and governance. Your ML platform belongs in a Microsoft Azure environment. Which platform components, operating tasks and handover deliverables are included?
MLOps Consulting Bespoke MLOps and LLM projects, stack evaluation and integration of MLOps tools. You need help choosing or connecting a stack. How will options be evaluated against your workloads and existing team?
Pento ML infrastructure, CI/CD, monitoring, Kubernetes, Ray and TensorRT. Your brief concerns deployment infrastructure or distributed workloads. Which proposed tools solve a demonstrated constraint in your environment?
Powercode Group Engineers or a team working within an agreed delivery scope. You have a technical owner and need additional engineering capacity. Who owns architecture, model approval, production support and acceptance?

What distinguishes the service offers?

HSO: Azure-centred MLOps

HSO’s service page describes Azure Machine Learning platforms, infrastructure as code with Bicep or Terraform, and automation using Azure Machine Learning pipelines and MLflow. It also lists deployment, monitoring, governance and enablement. This makes the cloud environment a useful first filter. Ask for a proposal mapped to your existing Azure estate, including the work your internal team will retain.

MLOps Consulting: stack evaluation and integration

MLOps Consulting describes bespoke projects, evaluating suitable MLOps stacks and integrating tools into a complete stack. Its site also describes LLM application work. Consider this route when the unresolved decision is how components should fit together. Request evaluation criteria, a record of the alternatives considered, and a handover plan your engineers can maintain.

Pento: ML infrastructure and deployment

Pento’s MLOps page names Kubernetes, Ray and TensorRT alongside deployment pipelines and monitoring. Those details give you specific questions for a technical discussion: what needs distributed execution, where inference performance matters, and which operational work remains with your team? Ask the supplier to justify each component against your workload before committing to a stack.

Powercode Group: capacity within your engineering team

Include Powercode Group when your brief is for an engineer or team to work within a defined scope. Review the documented role in the Qube case study and discuss the skills and responsibilities your project requires. Agree separately who owns the platform, model releases and ongoing operations. A team extension brief needs that boundary just as clearly as a consulting engagement.

Use the same selection criteria for every company

  • Workload fit. Describe batch or online inference, training frequency, data sensitivity and the current failure. Ask how the proposed scope addresses it.
  • Delivery scope. Separate assessment, implementation, migration and ongoing operation. Request named deliverables and exclusions for each stage.
  • Acceptance evidence. Agree which deployment, recovery and evaluation checks will demonstrate that the work meets your requirements.
  • Operating ownership. Name the owners of access, monitoring, incident response, model approval and cloud costs after handover.
  • Maintainability. Ask for the repositories, infrastructure definitions, runbooks and knowledge transfer included in the engagement.
  • Commercial comparability. Request separate estimates for discovery, implementation, cloud usage, licences and support, with assumptions and change rules.

“Powercode Group supplied one senior machine learning architect to Qube in July–December 2025; the case describes chatbot deployment, documentation and knowledge transfer. For an MLOps brief, specify the handover assets and name who owns model approval and production operations.”

Send a brief that produces comparable proposals

Give shortlisted companies the same description of the current platform, one representative workload and the problem to solve. Include the available documentation, your internal team, access restrictions and the decisions already made. Ask each company to return a proposed scope, dependencies, acceptance checks and operating responsibilities.

Request a relevant example and ask what the supplier actually owned. Distinguish an assessment from implementation, a prototype from production, and a completed build from ongoing operation. Use our MLOps consulting scope and partner checks to develop the statement of work.

Questions to settle before choosing

Do we need a consultancy or an ML engineer?

Choose a consulting brief when the architecture, scope or operating model needs definition. Choose an engineering capacity brief when your technical owner can direct and accept the work. Our ML engineer evaluation guide helps define the role.

Does an LLM application need the same scope?

Specify the actual components: model hosting, retrieval, data pipelines, evaluation and application integration. For agent workflows, include repeatable agent evaluations and release criteria. Ask each supplier to address those components rather than relying on the MLOps label alone.

Have an engineering brief ready? Share the platform, workload and responsibilities you want to retain with Powercode Group. That gives the discussion a concrete basis for assessing a suitable engineer or team.
